Anukriti Sharma has been passionate about animal rescue since childhood. “But there was very little knowledge out there about healing and post-recovery care of animals”, she explains. In the past, she had often turned to YouTube to learn about animal care. Therefore, she decided to start her own YouTube channel to impart her knowledge to other like-minded people. “Also, it would help me realise my secret dream of becoming a TV anchor”, she jokes. Her channel achieved both these goals and more. Her videos, especially the ones made with her rescued parrots, not only raised awareness about care of pets and stray animals, but also inspired more people to rescue animals. After monetizing her channel, Anukriti used the earnings to further her cause. The encouragement she receives through comments on her videos motivates her to keep going. “Animals may not be able to express their pain, but my channel will always speak for them,” she promises.
